Tuesday Morning for Tablescape Thursday

Last night my in-laws joined us for a mid week casual dinner in our breakfast room.

On the menu:  grilled flank stakes, black beans and rice, mango + jalapeno salsa, steamed broccoli and tater tots (the little man's and Pop's favorite!).  For desert we enjoyed chocolate eggs from Easter and fresh fruit.

On the table:  my whole set up I bought at Tuesday Mornings. From the Languiole knives, to the Portuguese green dishes and the lovely raised dots on the khaki plates, to the French ramekins and finally the Italian glasses and the cute paper napkins.  I love that place!  Do you ever shop at Tuesday Mornings?

To complement the casual set I layered a hand woven tablecloth from Brazil (have to add a little bit of me) over a regular white cloth.  The faux orchids were put there to complement the paper napkins and I also used the ubiquitous PB lanterns.

To check out other lovely tablescapes, please stop by Tablescape Thursdays.

I LUUUUURVE Tuesday Morning! I find the greatest things there! I can't believe you found some Languiole knives - they're my favorite. I love your layering...so simple yet lots of texture and spring color! I'm coming over for dinner, lol! xo

I forget about shopping Tuesday Mornings. You bought some lovely things from there. I really like the flowers in your centerpiece. Joan @Americana By Candlelight

Hi, Ladies! I know Tuesday Morning rocks with their kitchen stuff. I bought a gigantemous Le Creusset pot there, that would cost over $300 bucks anywhere else for about $100. I have also found all sorts of Italian goods there: bedding and kitchen woven goods. I just can't say enough good things about them. :) Thank you all for stopping by today.

A gorgeous table! I also love Tuesday Morning and need to check ours out soon -- it's been a while. Love the way you've layered the plates, as well as the fact this is a "real" table, used for an actual meal!

I haven't been to Tuesday Morning in ages. Now, I feel the need.

By the way, I keep meaning to tell you I read your posts imagining a lush Brazilian accent as I go.

Hi everyone
Mimi - this wasn't quite Easter, just a mid week meal with the inlaws. I have used them on my Easter table in the past and might just have to share that set up over at Tablescape Thursday.

Susie - thanks for stopping by. I have moved further from a TM than where I lived before, but I make myself drive the distance at least once in a while. well worth it, for sure

Escapade - thank you... they are fakies though. good fakes, but 'faux' none the less.

Tricia - thanks... i know, if i didn't have to set it up for us, i don't think i'd have done it just for the TT. not much time for that with a toddler to look after

Richie - thanks!

Herself - thank you... and i cant' wait to see more of YOUR style. Let us know when your book hits the bookstores.

Sandra - you live close to one of the best ones. trust me!

Tracy - I love those as well... I think they are DANSK, made in japan. I'm sure you can find them at some department stores.

The Zhush - thanks for stopping by today. I love your visits. :)

Raina - you are hillarious! I do have an accent, but I think it is more of a southern drawl.

Savy G. - thank you for visiting!

Marija - sometimes you can find some modern stuff in there. Mostly though you will find awesome stuff for the kitchen... and italian bedding. Aaaaaaahhhhhh...
